The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria has announced that its 2025 Annual General Meeting will take place on May 17.
In a statement on Sunday, it said this year’s AGM will be a hybrid event, allowing members to attend either virtually via Zoom or physically at the Institute’s headquarters, Bankers House, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The hybrid format is designed to promote wider participation and engagement among CIBN members, offering them the flexibility to choose their preferred mode of attendance.
“We are excited to host our 2025 AGM as a hybrid event, which will enable us to reach a wider audience and encourage greater participation from our members, no matter their location,” said Prof Pius Olarewaju, the 23rd President/Chairman of the Council of CIBN. “The hybrid approach ensures that our members have an interactive and inclusive experience, whether online or in person.”
The statement noted that the AGM will feature several presentations and discussions, including voting on key issues that affect the Institute and the broader financial services industry.
The Registrar/Chief Executive of the institute, Akin Morakinyo, will host the event. He emphasised the importance of member participation, stating,
“The AGM is an essential platform for us to align with our members, exchange ideas, and make informed decisions that will guide the Institute’s growth and relevance in the banking and financial sector.”
