The Nigeria, Empowerment for Unemployment Youth Initiative (EUYI) yesterday asked the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) to investigate and invoke disciplinarian measures on lawyers believed to have been paid to taint the reputation of Mele Kyari.
Some groups had alleged that the immediate past Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPLC) Group Chief Executive Officer was involved in corrupt undertakings during his tenure in office.
Addressing reporters in Abuja, EUYI leaders Solomon Adodo, Danesi Momoh and Igwe Ude-umanta said a formal complaint had been filed to the NBA, detailing how the legal profession is being trampled upon by miscreants eliciting the need for a prompt investigation into their activities based on disturbing irregularities.
They said: “There is nothing in those protests other than multidimensional mischief.
