Minstrel Kunle Set To Release 2 New Music Videos

Renowned gospel artist Ojewande Olukunle Segun, popularly known as Minstrel Kunle and fondly referred to as the #PraisingGodSpecialist, has announced the forthcoming release of two new music videos. The videos are a highlight of his recent performance commemorating 21 impactful years in the gospel music ministry.

The videos—”Ile-Ileri (Promise Land)” and “Aiyeraye – Powerful Praise”—are already generating excitement among fans, as they mark a significant milestone in his 21-year journey in gospel music ministry.

Speaking at Exosia Church in Abuja during a celebration event, Minstrel Kunle reflected on the path that brought him to this moment. In a chat with journalists, he credited his enduring passion for music, prophetic direction, and the lasting influence of his late mother as the driving forces behind his commitment to gospel music. “She inspired the foundation of my journey,” he shared, adding that his work has always been about praising God with purpose and power.

“Gospel music globally is currently facing deterioration because gospel music ministers are not being supported in fulfilling their dreams and purposes.

“In comparison to secular music in Nigeria and other places, this discouragement leads many gospel artists to prioritize financial gain over spiritual fulfillment,” he said.

Kunle expressed his concerns about the future of gospel music in the entertainment world. “I do not see gospel music taking center stage in the entertainment world in the future. My advice to upcoming gospel artists is to remain focused and not to commercialize their gifts. When they stay true to their calling, opportunities will arise naturally.”

He further encouraged fans to look out for his two new music videos featuring Ogorry King, performed live at his celebration, stating, “Nigerians should watch out for ‘Ile-Ileri (Promise Land)’ and ‘Aiyeraye – Powerful Praise medley’ by Dr. Minstrel Kunle.”

Despite his international performances, Kunle declared that Nigeria remains the best stage for his genre.

Reflecting on his 21 years of achievement, he expressed gratitude to God and acknowledged the support of Pastor Kunle Shoyele of Exosia Church.

“I bless God for the celebration, which was powerfully graced by some notable music legends such as Kingsley Ike, Ema Onyx, Ogorry King, Donald John, Tokunbo Lawal, D’Announcer, and Mercy T’Praise,” he said.

The celebration also saw the attendance of key figures, including Dr. Ms. Oluwafolakemi Olasanya, the wife of Chief Protocol Ondo State, and RCCG Region 45’s Pastor Mike Ayanbode.

“It was a blessed day of my life, and I am confident that the coming years will be fulfilling, in Jesus’ name,” Kunle concluded, looking forward to the future.
