Burna Boy Joins Dangote For Iftar Days After Meeting Otedola

Grammy-winning artist Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, joined billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote for Iftar, the traditional fast-breaking meal during Ramadan at Dangote’s residence on Tuesday.

The gathering also included Cecil Hammond, a renowned music executive.

A viral video from the event captured Burna Boy, dressed in a stylish navy blue two-piece outfit and a durag, exchanging pleasantries with Dangote and other guests at the dinner table.

Hammond, who played a key role in the meeting, later took to Instagram to share a photo from the occasion, captioning it, “Bringing the legends together, one smile at a time.”

Burna Boy’s visit to Dangote came just days after another notable engagement with billionaire businessman Femi Otedola.

LEADERSHIP reports that last week, Otedola hosted Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Cecil Hammond at his residence, describing the gathering as an opportunity to celebrate Afrobeats’ global influence.

In a social media post, Otedola expressed his admiration for Nigeria’s music stars, writing, “A true privilege to host some of our biggest music icons.”

Burna Boy, regarded as one of Nigeria’s most influential musicians rose to fame with his 2013 hit ‘Like to Party’. Over the years, he has solidified his position in the global music industry, earning numerous accolades, including a Grammy Award for ‘Best World Music Album’ in 2021 for ‘Twice As Tall’.

Cecil Hammond, who accompanied Burna Boy to both meetings, is a respected music executive, talent manager, and the founder of Flytime Promotions.

His company is known for organising some of Nigeria’s biggest music festivals and concerts, further shaping the entertainment landscape.

With Burna Boy’s continued presence among Nigeria’s elite, his influence extends beyond music, positioning him as a key figure in the intersection of entertainment and business.
