Heirs Holdings appoints new executive director


Heirs Holdings, an African investment company, has announced the appointment of Chidi Okpala as its new Executive Director for Payments, Group Integration, and Strategy.

In a statement made available to our correspondent by the company on Wednesday, it said Chidi will oversee the Group’s technology and healthcare business sectors while driving synergies across its diverse operations.

He will also be responsible for shaping and directing Heirs Holdings’ strategy in the payments sector.

It said Chidi brings over 20 years of leadership experience in various sectors, including financial services, FinTech, telecommunications, and strategy consulting.

His career includes roles with some of Africa’s and the world’s leading organisations such as Accenture, United Bank for Africa, and Bharti Airtel International.

It added that Chidi spearheaded the launch of AirtelMoney and co-founded Asante Financial Services Group.

The statement added that He holds a Master of Science in Management from the London Business School.

Commenting on the appointment, the Group Chairman of Heirs Holdings, Tony Elumelu, expressed his confidence in Chidi’s leadership capabilities.

He stated, “Chidi embodies the qualities we value – excellence, innovation, and dedication. His leadership will play a crucial role as we embark on the next phase of our journey, empowering Africa and creating a transformative impact across the continent.”
