Firm plans affordable solar products for Nigerians

Winock Solar, a leading provider of sustainable energy solutions, has introduced a new range of innovative solar products designed to provide reliable and affordable power solutions to Nigerians.

According to a press statement on Sunday, the company launched the SurePower 1000, SurePower 2000, Winock Tall Tubular Battery, and Winock Solar Panels, to tackle the country’s long-standing energy challenges and offer an alternative to unreliable grid power.

The statement read, “Winock Solar, a leading provider of sustainable energy solutions, has officially launched its latest range of innovative solar products, designed to provide reliable and affordable power solutions to Nigerians.

“With the introduction of the SurePower 1000, SurePower 2000, Winock Tall Tubular Battery, and Winock Solar Panels, the company aims to tackle the nation’s energy challenges and empower homes and businesses with sustainable electricity.”

It noted that the SurePower 1000 and SurePower 2000 solar generators have been specifically designed to meet the power needs of households and small businesses across Nigeria.

The SurePower 1000 features a one-kilowatt-hour battery and a 200-watt output, making it suitable for powering essential appliances such as televisions, fans, laptops, and lights.

The SurePower 2000, on the other hand, is equipped with a two-kilowatt-hour battery and a 1000-watt output, allowing it to support larger appliances such as refrigerators, projectors, and rice cookers.

Both models offer dual charging options, solar and grid power, ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply even in areas with inconsistent access to the national grid.

The statement noted that the affordability and efficiency of these products position them as viable alternatives to expensive and erratic electricity, allowing individuals and businesses to remain productive without the burden of high fuel costs associated with traditional generators.

The firm also unveiled the Winock Tall Tubular Battery, a durable energy storage solution with a lifespan of up to five years, designed for areas with frequent power outages.

Complementing this is the Winock Solar Panel, which boasts up to 22 per cent efficiency and a 25-year warranty, ensuring long-term reliability for users seeking a sustainable power source for their homes and businesses.

Quoted in the statement, the Chief Executive Officer of Winock Solar, Sanmi Lajuwomi, highlighted the company’s commitment to providing quality and cost-effective energy solutions for Nigerians.

“At Winock Solar, we recognize the daily struggles that Nigerians face due to inconsistent power supply. Our mission is to provide high-quality, cost-effective solar solutions that enhance the quality of life and drive economic growth,” he stated.

The introduction of these new products comes at a time when Nigeria continues to grapple with electricity shortages, with millions of households and businesses relying on expensive and environmentally harmful fuel generators.

By leveraging renewable energy, Winock Solar is not only providing a more sustainable alternative but also contributing to economic empowerment by enabling businesses to operate without frequent disruptions caused by power failures.

The PUNCH earlier reported that Winock Solar announced the acquisition of $1.6m in equity funding from Acumen Fund Inc. and All On Partnerships for Energy Access.

It was reported that funding would support the rollout of innovative solar products tailored to the needs of micro-businesses and underserved communities.
