SMEDAN lauds Katsina govt over N250m MSME loan


The Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria has commended the Katsina State Government for disbursing N250.7 m in MSME loans, aimed at strengthening small businesses across the state.

According to a statement signed by the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer, SMEDAN, Charles Odii, congratulated and commended the Katsina State Enterprises Development Agency for commencing the distribution of N250.7 million loans to micro, small, and medium enterprises across the state through the partnership with Sterling Bank.

“The development marks another demonstration of Governor Dikko Radda’s commitment to the sustainable development of small businesses in the state through inclusive and affordable access to resources and opportunities,” Odii said.

He continued, “We are particularly impressed with the transparent and inclusive manner in which KASEDA has managed the loan distribution process, ensuring that the funds reach deserving businesses across various sectors, including agriculture, trade, manufacturing, and information technology.

“We are proud to continue partnering with KASEDA and the state government as we support the growth and development of MSMEs in the state.

“We encourage other states to emulate this laudable initiative, which serves as a model for effective collaboration between government agencies, financial institutions, and the private sector to deepen access to finance for SMEs.”
