New Viathan CEO pledges reliable power solutions

New Chief Executive Officer of Viathan Group, Lekan Adekeye, pledges reliable power solutions, adding that his focus will be on furthering the company’s mission of providing reliable energy solutions while exploring emerging opportunities in the energy sector.

Adekeye made this pledge while speaking on his appointment as the CEO of Viathan Group, an integrated energy solutions provider in Nigeria.

He said, “I am honoured to lead Viathan Group into this exciting new chapter. My focus will be on furthering our mission of providing reliable energy solutions while exploring emerging opportunities in the energy sector. Together with our talented team, we will continue to innovate and deliver on our promise of powering Nigeria’s future.“

Adekeye is taking over from Habeeb Alebiosu, the outgoing Group CEO and Co-Founder, who has now been appointed as the Vice Chairman, where he will remain an integral part of the company’s strategic direction and governance at the board level.

In a statement on Wednesday, the company disclosed that this leadership transition underscores Viathan Group’s commitment to innovation, technological advancement, and its mission to deliver uninterrupted and reliable power solutions to underserved communities across Nigeria.

Adekeye, an alumnus of the London Business School, brings over 20 years of leadership experience across the oil & gas, FMCG, and FinTech sectors.

The statement added that under Alebiosu’s leadership, Viathan Group achieved remarkable milestones, including the expansion of its power solutions to thousands of underserved households and businesses across Nigeria.

The outgoing CEO reportedly expressed his confidence in Adekeye’s ability to lead the company to even greater heights.

“It has been a privilege to lead Viathan Group, and I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished.

I am confident that Adekeye’s vision and expertise will guide the company toward an even brighter future,” said Alebiosu.

The firm noted that Adekeye’s appointment came at a pivotal moment as Nigeria’s energy landscape continues to evolve, with an increased focus on innovation and sustainability.
