11 consumer goods companies record N10tn market capitalisation – Punch Newspapers


Eleven Nigerian consumer goods sectors have achieved a total market capitalisation of N10.1tn, The PUNCH reports.

According to the latest trading report from the Nigerian Exchange Limited as of December 31, 2024, BUA Foods Plc led the consumer goods sector with a market capitalisation of N7.47tn. Its shares traded at N415.00 with 42 trades and a total volume of 31,117 shares.

Nigerian Breweries Plc followed with a market capitalisation of N991.46bn. Its stock price closed at N32.00, reflecting a 0.47 per cent decline from N32.15. The company executed 84 trades and recorded a total volume of 1,639,092 shares.

International Breweries Plc posted a market capitalisation of N934.02bn, with its stock trading at N5.55, reflecting no change in price. It recorded 42 trades and a total volume of 1,595,714 shares.

Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc recorded a market capitalisation of N394.77bn, with its stock price at N32.50, reflecting a 4.55 per cent drop from N34.05 recorded the previous day. The company executed 165 trades and a total volume of 2,950,748 shares.

Guinness Nigeria Plc reported a market capitalisation of N153.87bn, with its stock price closing at N70.25. The brewer registered 43 trades and a volume of 102,951 shares.

NASCON Allied Industries Plc achieved a market capitalisation of N84.72bn, with its stock price closing at N31.35, reflecting a 1.13 per cent increase from N31.00 in the prior day. It recorded 62 trades and a total volume of 854,089 shares.

Honeywell Flour Mill Plc had a market capitalisation of N49.96bn, with its shares trading at N6.30, reflecting a 1.56 per cent decline from N6.40. The company recorded 125 trades and a volume of 4,240,342 shares.

Northern Nigeria Flour Mills Plc reported a market capitalisation of N7.82bn, with its shares trading at N43.90. The company executed 29 trades and a total volume of 264,091 shares.

Golden Guinea Breweries Plc’s market capitalisation is N8.85bn, and its stock price is N8.64. It recorded 4 trades and a total volume of 22,325 shares.

Union Dicon Salt Plc recorded the smallest market capitalisation of N1.97bn, with its stock price closing at N7.20, reflecting a 10 per cent decline from N8.00. The company executed 1 trade with a total volume of 121,000 shares.

Multi-Trex Integrated Foods Plc had a market capitalisation of N1.62bn, with its stock price at N0.36. The company recorded no trades or share volume for the day.
