CIPM inaugurates branch in USA


The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria has marked a historic milestone with the official inauguration of its USA Branch on Saturday, December 14, 2024.

The virtual event themed “Networking & Collaboration: Key to Professional Development,” attended by over 200 participants from across the globe, underscores the Institute’s ongoing mission to set global standards for Human Resource Management excellence.

The inauguration brought together HR professionals, thought leaders, and CIPM members to celebrate the Institute’s global expansion.

In delivering his keynote address, a prominent HR leader, Dr. Steve Ojeh, underscored the transformative role of partnerships.

“Collaboration is the lifeblood of innovation. By working together, we unlock opportunities and achieve growth far beyond individual efforts,” Ojeh stated, inspiring attendees to embrace professional networking.

Also, the President and Chairman of the CIPM Governing Council, Mallam Ahmed Gobir, captured the significance of the moment with a speech reflecting on the Institute’s remarkable journey and its international impact.

“It is a bright and historic day as we plant the CIPM flag on American soil, marking a new chapter of global impact, collaboration, and excellence. Today, CIPM stands proudly on the global stage, connecting continents and redefining HR practices for a better future,” Gobir said.

According to the statement, the newly inaugurated CIPM USA Branch highlights the Institute’s unwavering commitment to promoting professional development, knowledge sharing, and the advancement of HR best practices worldwide.

CIPM Boss further emphasised that collaboration will be central to the branch’s mission.

 “The future of HR lies in partnerships, not just policies. The CIPM USA Branch is poised to be a beacon of excellence, fostering connections that will elevate the HR profession globally,” Gobir added.

The dynamic team of executives selected to lead the branch was praised for their dedication and vision.

He said, “With the dynamic team of executives selected, their leadership is expected to strengthen CIPM’s mission of creating value and standardising HR practices across borders.”

“The USA Branch marks CIPM’s growing international footprint, joining active branches in Canada and the United Kingdom. The Institute’s expansion into key global regions reaffirms its reputation as a leader in human resource management,” Gobir added.
