…Gives reasons why the governor should be reelected
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Chief Segun Ajibulu, has solicited the support of Ekiti people in diaspora on the reelection bid of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
This is as he urged Ekiti in diaspora to disregard an alleged social media hate campaign against the governor.
Ajibulu, according to a press statement made available to Saturday Telegraph in Ado-Ekiti, spoke at the Ekiti Parapo North Carolina Anniversary in the United States (US).
He said as a stakeholder of the party in Ekiti, he is in the best position to give first-hand information about the happenings in the nation’s fountain of knowledge.
Ajibulu, a former APC Senatorial aspirant in Ekiti North, who used the opportunity to highlight the governor’s achievements, said Governor Oyebanji had displayed exemplary leadership qualities by uniting all political tendencies in the state.
He added that Oyebanji’s administration has been transparent in its dealings, and he also placed a premium on the welfare of workers and the citizens.
He said, “It won’t be fair if I fail to talk about happenings in our dear state. I live in Ekiti whenever I am in Nigeria.
” We can’t just rely on the incorrect information on social media about our governor. I am here to tell you, as a stakeholder in Ekiti politics, that our governor is performing.
“Most of the issues raised about roads are incorrect. The majority of the roads being talked about are federal roads, and they are getting attention from the Federal Government as I am talking to you.
“I am glad to inform you that work is in progress on Ado – Aramoko and Itawure roads, ditto Ado- Akure roads.
“It will interest you to know that Ado-Ifaki roads, a federal road, which has been under construction for years, has been completed by Governor Oyebanji, but the governor decided not to make noise about it.
On his efforts to boost the agriculture sector, Ajibulu said the current administration had cleared several hectares of land to ease farming activities in the state.
“Through the efforts of his administration, Ekiti is now playing host to the biggest cassava farm in Nigeria (Agbeyewa Farms). Ekiti has been enjoying peace since Oyebanji assumed office as governor.
“No wonder that all former governors have endorsed him for a second term. Peace is paramount in any society. can be no development without peace, “Ajibulu said.
