11Plc sanctions fuel attendants for misconduct

11Plc says it has taken disciplinary action against some fuel attendants accused of unacceptable conduct.

In a statement on Wednesday, the company said it was aware of a viral video on social media accusing its staff of extortion.

In the video, a customer at a Mobil filling station in Jakande, Lagos, has raised the alarm that he was made to pay N39,000 instead of N25,000. The customer said this had happened about three times in three weeks.

Reacting, 11Plc said it had taken immediate disciplinary action against the attendants.

“We are aware of a video circulating on social media depicting unacceptable conduct by some attendants at one of our Mobil service stations in Lagos. At 11Plc, we uphold the highest ethical and professional standards and take such matters seriously.

“In line with our zero-tolerance policy for misconduct, we have taken immediate disciplinary action against the individuals involved.

“We want to assure the public that this incident does not reflect our company’s values. We remain committed to ensuring the staff at our stations adhere to the highest integrity and customer service standards,” the company said.

The energy firm urged aggrieved customers to report their complaints to the station manager or make use of phone numbers displayed at its sites.

“We encourage our valued customers to report any concerns directly to the station manager in the first instance and also to make use of phone numbers prominently displayed at our sites or through our official customer service channels.

“We appreciate your trust and support and reaffirm our dedication to consistently delivering quality service,” the statement concluded.
